My name is Elliot. I grew up and then studied in Oxford England (Somerville, History), and then married a girl from Austin, Texas, where I lived for five years. I grew to love both cities. Despite some superficial differences and over 6,000 miles of distance, there is a lot of similarity between the two places. Of course, they are both college towns on the river and local capitals with a strong connection to government. They both have a strong tradition of eccentricity, a deep local music culture, and an open subculture. They both have a thriving technology scene attracting interesting people working on cool projects from all over the world.

On returning to the UK after living in Austin, I realized that people in Austin and Oxford have a lot to benefit from connections between the two cities, but no organized effort to make those connections.

So I set up a simple and easy way to find out about opportunities in the other city, and to help people in both cities benefit. Both cities are fun, exciting, and fascinating places to live and work. I am excited to facilitate travel and partnerships between the two.
